Breastfeeding Connections - Newborn/Parent Group

Breastfeeding is natural, but it doesn't always come naturally. Building community with other nursing mothers can help you feel more confident and less alone. This group is for you whether you are struggling with your breastfeeding experience and are looking to troubleshoot or you simply want to let your guard down and nurse in a non-judgmental, breastfeeding-friendly atmosphere. The group addresses issues such as improving latch, knowing your baby is getting enough to eat, transitioning back to work, how to get anything done when it feels like you are constantly nursing, and much more. All nursing mothers are welcome. Whether your baby is a newborn or a toddler—and whether or not you need breastfeeding help—come enjoy the company of other breastfeeding moms. The group is facilitated by volunteer breastfeeding counselors from Nursing Mothers Counsel.

Out of courtesy to others in the group, please don't come if you or your baby have an active cold or have been exposed to a contagious illness. A cold should be considered active in the first three days of symptoms and/or if you or baby are sneezing or coughing. Thank you.
